Cassandra Monique Batie aka Andra Day, is a American R&B/Soul songwriter and singer. She has been awarded various accolades including the Grammy Award a Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award along with nominations for an Academy Award. Andra day is an incredibly talented and powerful artist. It's not like she's a throwback R&B expert, but her roots in gospel jazz, as well as the blues is apparent and translates to today's music. Her first album Cheers To The Autumn (2015) is a smash hit in the R&B/hiphop genre which earned her a variety of Grammy and Academy Award nominations. Stand Up for Something (2017), her contribution to Marshall's soundtrack earned both accolades. She grew as a child in San Diego and the metropolitan city. There she sang in church and attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts. When she left the school, she was drawn to the newer styles of R&B and pop but found herself drawn to jazz classics and soul vocalists she heard when she was a child. Kai Millard Morris recorded a performance of Day, and later gave her husband Stevie Wonder some of Day's material. Motown legend Adrian Gurvitz connected Day and the seasoned music businessman. Day who was linked to Gurvitz and Jeffrey Evans Buskin Label Day, became a YouTube sensation after which she signed with Warner Bros. In 2012 Day came out with Forever Mine as her debut track on YouTube. DJs started playing it in radio stations. She then was signed to Warner Bros. Records. Adrian Gurvitz produced her first album, Cheers to celebrate the fall. The album included the track Rise up and was chosen as a anthem for the social justice movement across the world. Day earned 2 Grammy nominations for the album which included Best R&B Album. In 2019, she debuted her second album The United States vs. Billie Holiday a concept album about the life of the legendary jazz vocalist. In addition, she was a part of The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a film that tells the story of Holiday. Andi matichak (born 25th August 1970) is an American actress. She made her television debut in series such as 666 Park Avenue, Orange Is the New Black and Blue Bloods before making her film debut in the role of Allyson Nelson in the horror movie series Halloween and its sequels. Andi matichak is an American actor who was born in Framingham on the 3rd day of May 1994.
